Copper Dog Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Copper Dog is a distinct contemporary Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky launched in 2014 by Piers Adams, rooted in the rich folklore of Scotland's Speyside region and initially created for the historic pub sharing its name at the Craigellachie Hotel. Unlike traditional blended Scotch which contains both malt and grain whiskies, Copper Dog is a blended malt crafted exclusively from a marriage of eight different Speyside single malts including Roseisle, Inchgower, and Knockando. Whiskies of various ages are married together for an extra three months in refill oak casks and ex-bourbon hogsheads before bottling. No age statement. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 Proof) in 700ml size. The name pays tribute to historic distillery workers who used small copper tubes called copper dogs to secretly sample whisky from maturing casks.
