The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky aged in traditional oak casks for 14 years before being transferred to casks that previously held Caribbean rum for a finishing period. This finishing step influences the whisky’s flavour, contributing sweeter, tropical‑leaning character alongside its underlying malt profile.

Tasting Notes

• Aroma:
  In my tastings, I find rich sweet notes on the nose with creamy toffee, gentle dried fruit and subtle tropical fruit hints such as mango or pineapple.

• Palate:
  The palate shows rounded sweetness with vanilla and oak, along with soft fruity elements that reflect the rum cask influence.

• Finish:
  The finish is soft and lingering with gentle oak spice and continued hints of sweet fruit and vanilla.
