Brand History
Monkey Shoulder is a highly popular blended malt Scotch whisky produced by William Grant & Sons. Unlike standard "blended Scotch," Monkey Shoulder contains no grain whisky; it is a "vatted malt" made exclusively from a blend of single malts from three renowned Speyside distilleries: Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie. Its name, "Monkey Shoulder," refers to a traditional condition that malt men suffered from due to the repetitive work of turning the barley in the malting process.
