This whisky is matured primarily in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in First-Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks. Distillation in very tall stills with rising lye pipes creates a light, grassy, and fruity spirit. The modern 46% ABV version is non-chill filtered with no added caramel, preserving its natural mahogany hue and oily texture.
