Espolòn Reposado is an aged expression from the Espolòn lineup. Made using 100% Blue Weber agave, it is rested in new American oak barrels for a period that typically ranges from two to six months. This aging process imparts a rich, smooth character to the tequila, balancing the agave’s natural sweetness with subtle oak flavors. Espolòn Reposado offers a more complex profile than its unaged counterpart, the Blanco.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: In my tastings, I find the aroma to be rich with spicy notes, accompanied by hints of caramel fudge, light oak, and tropical fruits, with a subtle vanilla sweetness.

Palate: On the palate, the tequila is medium-to-full bodied, with roasted agave flavors complemented by sweet notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, and light brown spice. The oak influence adds complexity, though it remains balanced with the agave’s natural flavors.

Finish: The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and oak, fading into a gentle sweetness that offers a pleasant conclusion.
